Downloaded pdf will not print on mac

 · Open the document you’d like to print to a PDF file. In the menu bar at the top of the screen, select File Print. A printing dialog will open up. Ignore the Print button. Near the bottom of the Print window, you will see a small drop-down menu labeled “PDF.” Click on it. In the PDF drop-down menu, select “Save as PDF.”.  · The data might be corrupt: Sometimes a corrupt PDF file may lead to a printing error. If you didn't use the proper program to create your PDF file, this may cause the data to be corrupt data on both Windows and macOS. This error can only be resolved by using an appropriate software to create and print the PDF file.  · A batch of PDFs were e-mailed to me. Several print fine, but one will not print no matter what. It displays fine, but when I send it to the printer, the HP printer lights up, and then times out. It will NOT print from Reader, Acrobat or Sierra's native viewer. However, the same PDF downloaded from the same e-mail on my Windows PC prints just fine.

Every time I try to print or fix the problem I can only SAVE the pdf. Going through all of the help procedures I'm told to download Chrome which came with my Chromebook, and add a classic printer. I follow every step by detail only to end up at the same spot not being able to print, only save.
